In addition to the extraction of "normal teeth," Dr. Pressley also extracts wisdom teeth.

Often times, the jaw isn't large enough to accommodate wisdom teeth. When the jaw is too small to accommodate these teeth, they can become impacted or misaligned. Wisdom teeth may grow sideways, erupt partially from the gum, or remain beneath the gum and bone. If a tooth is only partially erupted, it leaves an opening for bacteria to enter around the tooth and cause an infection, pain, swelling, jaw stiffness, or general illness. When wisdom teeth are poorly aligned, they can also cause damage to the adjacent teeth.

Schedule an appointment for your comprehensive evaluation to see if your wisdom teeth require extraction.
